Mental Health Policy – Shore Staff

  • Complies with all applicable laws and regulations covering:
    • Conditions of employment;
    • Health protection, medical care, welfare and social security protection
    • Training
  • Applies responsible standards where laws and regulations do not exist.
  • Values employees and respects their human rights, while at the same time provides a safe and sustainable environment aiming to identify timely and address mental illness and disorders.
  • Seeks to identify and evaluate sign of mental health risks related to its operations that potentially affect its employees, contractors or the public [COVID19, diseases etc.].
  • Communicates information regarding Mental Health & related risks; gained from relevant programs and studies to its workforce.
  • Undertakes appropriate reviews and evaluations of its operations to foster compliance with this Policy.
  • Provides to Shore Staff:
    • A benefit program – 24/7/365 Support & Wellbeing Line for employees and their family members, intended to support them in dealing with problems that might adversely impact their work performance, health and wellbeing.
    • Informative material related to issues in the limelight, social phenomena and or other topics related to employee needs.
    • Wellbeing podcasts with informative material related to wellbeing.
    • Access to a well‐being library with various articles and publications.
    • Ad hoc initiatives aiming to educate personnel /reduce stress.
    • Counseling services to employees who are experiencing mental health issues.
    • Team building activities aiming to enhance the communication among teams.
